My paintings begin with generous coatings of gesso to prime high-quality duck canvas. I then apply many layers of thin oil paint supported by pressed linseed oil (with drying time between applications), allowing the vision to grow and expand organically.
I’ve been told that my paintings feel as though they are out of a different time period, or a dream.
In my paintings I try to capture the scenes that get caught in my head, in part so that I can better understand what it is that I am seeing.
